Zohaib was born and raised in Southern California with Mission Viejo being his hometown. He graduated from UCI with a degree in Information & Computer Science and is currently working in the automotive industry. Zohaib has been an attendee of different Islamic Centers and organizations mainly in the Orange County area. Interfaith related activities are dear to him and feels that each of our individual spiritual experiences flourish when we connect and converse with others of varying backgrounds. As we build sincere understanding amongst each other, we also learn more about ourselves. During a time of personal struggle, Zohaib found that he was directed back to God not by the religious community he was most familiar with, but rather one that was foreign to him. It has been an eye opening experience and he feels New Ground and other such efforts help him continue that calling.
