UCLA Professor of History David Myers organized a Vigil for Peace on Wednesday, Nov 1, to honor the lives of those lost in Israel and Palestine. Our executive director Aziza Hasan spoke as part of this vigil, along with Prof. Myers, Salam Al-Marayati, and Jewish and Muslim UCLA students. This was not an official NewGround event, but some NewGround alumni joined to show our support for interfaith community building efforts in this challenging time for Los Angeles.
