Tuition for each participant is $2500. This is used for programming costs, reserving retreat space, staff time, and other important budget items to make the fellowship program possible. Payment plans are available.

The NewGround Next Level Fellowship offers a unique and vital opportunity to elevate your leadership, expand your network, and acquire the critical skills needed to navigate through the complexities of polarization, particularly concerning Israel-Palestine.

This program is a strategic investment in your capacity to lead with courage, conviction, and compassion in the face of escalating distrust and hate.

  • Practical Tools & Templates: Gain concrete strategies for facilitating challenging discussions and guiding your community through complex issues.

  • Personalized Support: Troubleshoot specific concerns and challenges you face in your work across diverse communities.

  • Deepen Understanding: Invest in intra and inter-faith (affinity-based) dialogue to cultivate greater empathy and bridge divides.

  • A Network for Life: Become part of an influential alumni network dedicated to sustaining peace efforts and fostering positive change.

 The City of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission recognizes fellowship alumni for their committed leadership to civic engagement and transformational discourse. Upon completion of the fellowship, you will receive a certificate from the City of Los Angeles in appreciation of your commitment to strengthening Muslim-Jewish relations.    
 
WHO SHOULD APPLY:
This fellowship is designed for established and emerging leaders who:
  • Are professionals or lay leaders with a college degree or life equivalent
  • Can identify a specific institution where they will focus their impact. (workplace, civic organization, religious institute, non-profit, government etc.)
  • Are genuinely committed to engaging across differences and understand the importance of addressing power dynamics
  • Are ready to collaborate to help communities work together
  • Can commit to all scheduled sessions, including two immersive weekend retreat

  • May 15 – 17, 2026:  Israel and Palestine RETREAT (Overnight, Friday afternoon thru Sunday afternoon. **NOTE: This is Presidents’ Day weekend**)
