NewGround complicates narratives about Israel Palestine, Jews, and Muslims by bringing powerful, personal stories to our communities. Spotlight is an evening of six stories from different backgrounds and experiences connected by a theme.

This year’s theme is Reality Check: Talking about Gaza.

Over the past two years, more than 60,000 human beings have been killed, hundreds of thousands still face starvation, and our own communities have been tested in unimaginable ways. Many have felt betrayed by trusted friends, others isolated in their grief, some paralyzed by fear, and still others determined to keep working for a peaceful future. Spotlight will feature some of these stories, and help us explore these challenging emotions.
