Public Panel on Israel and Palestine

We have received many requests from alumni, donors, and other members of the NewGround community to hold a public program on the current crisis in the Middle East. We’ve asked four leaders in peace work in the region to join us and share their recent experiences, and what insights they have to share for our work here in the US. We hope you’ll join this July 8 morning discussion by registering at the link below.

Talking about Racism in Muslim & Jewish Communities

Join us on June 16, 7:00 PM PST for a public dialogue about racism in Muslim and Jewish communities, and how storytelling can be utilized as a tool to build more inclusive faith communities. NewGround has invited Margari Hill (Executive Director, Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative) and Chava Shervington (Board Member, Jewish Multiracial Network) to share their personal stories about racism in these communities, and in turn discuss actionable tools for navigating and combatting hatred.

On Muslim-Jewish Relationships

What’s at stake in building Muslim-Jewish relationships here in the United States? How can we stay in conversation when things get rough and/or why even try? How do we see each other and navigate through our pain? Join us as we discuss different perspectives, approaches, strengths, and challenges to building Muslim – Jewish relationships.

As part of our monthly public conversation series, Shoulder to Shoulder is hosting an important conversation in partnership with NewGround: A Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change on “Muslim-Jewish Relationships” featuring Aziza Hasan, Andrea Hodos, Sabeeha Rehman & Walter Ruby on Tuesday, June 29th at 1PM PST.
