Jordan Karpin is currently a junior at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. Last year, she left her family, friends, and home, to study in Israel on a program called NFTY-EIE. Over the course of these four months she studied Israel’s history, traveled the country, went through basic IDF training, and even flew to Poland to learn about World War II. Her trip taught me an incredible amount, not only about Israel, but also about herself. Upon her return, her passion for Israel led me to get involved with the organization StandWithUs, where she is now a part of their MZ Teen Internship program. This group has molded her into an effective leader and advocate, providing her with skills that she hopes to use this year in MAJIC. In addition to Israel advocacy, she is also involved in the Jewish Youth group BBYO (B’nai Brith Youth Organization), and a Counselor In Training at camp JCA Shalom in Malibu. She is so excited to be participating in the MAJIC program, and she looks forward to gaining new insight and ideas from other teens and professionals alike!
