Fellows 2015-16

I am Naila Barlas, lives in Diamond Bar, California with my husband of 20 years and 3 teenage kids. I came to USA in 1996 to continue my education as a PhD student in Microbiology at St. John’s University, NY. I met my husband during my visit to my brother here in LA and here goes my PhD. Currently I hold a Real Estate Broker License as well as Mortgage Loan Broker License Endorsement from Department of Real Estate, California. Me and my family is actively involved in our local community, we volunteer a lot. I Co-Chair the President position at South Asian Parent Association here at Diamond Bar High. I was secretary and V.P for SAPA before. I am also the member of Board of Directors for DBCF (Diamond Bar Community Foundation) and WVEF (Walnut Valley Education Foundation). I personally feel a great need to have dialogues between people of different faith. We need to concentrate more on similarities.
