Ramadan is a time of self-reflection and self-restraint. It is also a time for looking outward to build and strengthen community. As we transition from the pandemic to the endemic, we remain mindful of what it means to gather safely. To ensure the health of our at-risk community members, we will hold this year’s community Iftar online one more time, with an engaging and enriching program that will bring us together.
This year is extra special, marking the 15th anniversary of NewGround building resilient relationships between Muslims and Jews. It is even more special that this is the first year since our founding that Ramadan and Passover intersect (the first of several, in fact!). In honor of this divine timing, we will explore connections within our texts and traditions during the virtual program. Please join us for the opportunity to experience all the richness of this moment of sacred intersections!
We hope you will join us for the warmth and the learning. RSVP at bit.ly/NGiftar2022
