At one of our Community of Practice Facilitation Training sessions this year, we saw how deep and attentive listening, thoughtfulness, and nuance go hand in hand. During a “practice” conversation, one participant facilitated a short exchange about the meaning of Zionism in the lives of three volunteer speakers: a secular Israeli Jew, a Palestinian American, and a religious Ashkenazi Jew (not pictured above). Not only were they able to truly understand the differences in their experiences, but they felt more deeply connected, continuing their conversation and modeling it for other communities and audiences.
If that sounds worthwhile to you, please consider applying here. This two-day seminar is open to all who are interested in sharpening their facilitation skills — not just Muslims and Jews — May 28 and 29.
Naturally, your contributions enable us to continue fostering deep dialogue and engagement, helping us create a world that holds compassion and justice in equal parts. Thank you for your continued support and belief in our work.
