Avi Fine is a rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College. He grew up in Seattle. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Carleton College, in Minnesota. Avi has spent three years of his life living in Israel in various capacities, volunteering, working and learning. It was in Israel that he first became interested in coexistence work, volunteering with the organization Ultimate Peace. As someone who spends much of his time in the Jewish world, Avi is so thankful for the opportunity to be involved in a cross-cultural dialogue group. As a Newground Fellow, Avi looks forward to creating meaningful relationships, addressing tough questions and doing what our world needs more of- dialoguing with people different than himself.
