Samrina Vasani is a 9th grade student at the California Academy of Math and Science, interested in studying medicine and Humanitarian law. She is a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo and has maintained a 3.9-4.0 GPA throughout her academic career. She participates in many volunteering services through Kaiser, ICERV and LA Works and is part of various school clubs such as the American Red Cross where she serves on the board as the clu secretary and participated in the International Humanitarian Law Campaign. In the previous year, she obtained the Gold Presidential Service Award for contributing an annual average of 100+ community service hours in volunteering at social events, awareness walks, medical clinics and health fairs. Her passion for helping people derrives from her ultimate goal of becoming an influential role model to the next generation.
